Hello Fellow Golfers!

We were thrilled to host the Community Long Driver Contest in partnership with the PGA on Wednesday of last week and were very happy with the turnout of not only our customers but also makers from a handful of local businesses. The visibility and sense of community was inspiring and we hope you had a chance to swing through. Please see the section below for a link to our facility making the news and our take on having the opportunity to host this event.

We are impartial to the weather that cannot make up it's mind. We, along with many others, can't wait to get into a routine of consistent outdoor golf but our customers should feel confident that regardless of conditions and sunlight, we will be here for your tee time needs.

Have a wonderful weekend, and for those that celebrate, a Happy Easter!

Hit them true,

The Crew at PICC

We are hiring!

The golf course that the owners of Pipestone Indoor recently transitioned into ownership of is hiring! We are looking for our next amazing team member(s) and wanted to make our loyal customers aware of this great employment opportunity. The position will work mainly in and around the pro shop with a small chance that they could flex to some project outside and will be paid $13 per hour with the possibility of making tips while working the pro shop. We are targeting someone that would be available for weekend shifts and anticipate the role having anywhere from 20-40 hours per week depending on volume at the course. Please keep in mind that employees that work at the outdoor golf course also have priority for available hours at PICC in the winter so the job could be year round for the right individuals. Please email Dustin at dustinlester@pipestone.golf if you or someone you know may be interested or give us a call at the shop.

PS - We offer free golf for employees at the golf course and steep discounts for employees at PICC.

Changing to Advanced Appointment-Only

REMINDER: With the warmer weather comes the slowdown at PICC. This year we will continue to maintain our hours of 8a-Midnight every day over the course of the summer with the caveat that appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to ensure that our customers can still golf during the standard hours of operation with proper notice. When PICC is not busy, this will allow us to focus our energy on other projects away from the shop, such as those at Pipestone Creek Golf Course! 24 hour advanced appointments will start Sunday, May 1st and are expected to run through the end of August. Reoccurring appointments are still a great option for those looking for consistent practice time.

Community Longest Drive presented by the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

We were thrilled to be the hosts of the Senior PGA Championship's Community Long Drive contest and the event more than exceeded expectations. We had five local makers in the shop to provide samples of their products including Journeyman Distillery, Round Barn, Dablon Winery, Watermark Brewing, and Peat's Cider. To our surprise, the championship's trophy made an appearance along with multiple news crews so the exposure and sense of community the event provided was incredible. We hope that those that wanted to attend were able to and we will try our hardest to make sure there are more opportunities when the championship returns in the future.

In the future, we would encourage those that don't hit the long ball to join as well. There were door prizes for all attendees, multiple opportunities to taste some locally made beverages, and a food truck that provided some pretty delicious eats.

Our winners of the longest drive by category were:

Men's - Mark Casey (331.5 yards)

Women's - Krystin Hanley (190.9 yards)

Senior (50+) - Mark Bedell (266.1 yards)

Youth (12 and younger) - Van Winkelmann (151.7 yards)

Pipestone Indoor Aces

Ace alert! We have had three aces since the last time we provided an update including one on a par 4! Please see below for the highly skilled shots that landed some lucky customers an extremely rare "1" on the scorecard:

  • March 27 - Erik Boelens - Trump National Bedminster - Hole 16 - 148 yards
  • April 10 - Nate Brooks - Bethpage Black - Hole 3 - 150 yards (pictured below)
  • April 14 - Steve Nelson - Rope Club - Hole 17 - 275 yards (pictured below)

We will update our hole-in-one plaque in early May. Congratulations on your amazing golf shots!

Regrip your clubs!

We are now offering regripping services at PICC. It's a great way to freshen up your set for the upcoming season without investing in all new clubs. Gripping services are $3 per club, if grips are purchased through us, or $5 per club, if you bring your own. Our grip prices are set competitively with market pricing. We have a limited selection of grips in stock, and are able to order most that are available at other stores. If you are interested in getting your clubs regripped, the process is simple; drop your clubs off, choose which grips you want, and pick them up the next day! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
